Friday Evenings alternate at 6pm and 7:45pm We invite you to join us every Shabbat for our evening services. Check the weekly calendar or call to confirm the time because it alternates: the first Friday of the month is at 6pm, the second at 7:45pm, the third at 6pm, the fourth at 7:45pm (when there's a fifth Friday, we hold services at 7:45pm). Every Shabbat evening service is followed by a kiddush reception (challah, cookies, etc.).
Shabbat Mornings at 9:00am in the Library Every Saturday morning at 9am we have a short, mostly lay-led Shabbat morning service. The service is informal but includes the major prayer elements (i.e. shema, amidah, kaddish). The service is like a chavurah. As defined by Rabbi Arthur Green, “Chavurah is related to the word chaver, ‘friend,’ and to chibbur, ‘joining.’ A chavurah is a group of friends joined together for the purpose of spiritual quest, a search for Jewish growth and learning, or shared celebration of the Jewish year.” We currently meet in the library just before Torah study and invite everyone to join us for prayer and stay for learning and good conversation.
Festivals and Special Services We hold Festival services - including Yizkor on Yom Kippur, Shemini Atzeret, Pesach, and Shavuot.
