Religious School for grades K through 7 starts Sunday, September 9th. Classes begin at 9:30 AM. We have room for your family and would love to introduce you to our school and teachers.
Our religious school curriculum is designed to prepare each student to take his or her place in the world as an informed, committed Reform Jew. The curriculum includes Hebrew, Jewish traditions, customs and ceremonies, history, and Israel. We have an active library, music, and worship programs as part of religious school. Our clergy teach regularly in our religious school.
We are proud to announce our new pilot program for eligible students who have distinguished themselves by completing B'nei Mitzvah. The MRT Mitzvah Academy will meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30am for a bagel breakfast. The class will run from 10am until 12pm.
The 8th and 9th grades will help teen establish ongoing relationships through volunteer opportunities. Jewish texts will be used to contextualize the volunteer work. Community service credit will be given which can be useful on college applications. Teens will also travel with their friends and Cantor Clissold overnight to Philadelphia.
The 10th grade Confirmation class with Rabbi Pearlman is a year of fun, community building, and introspection. The teens reflect on the challenges of their own lives and how these challenges impace their theology. There is an opportunity to visit Washington, DC for the L'taken seminar.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact Rabbi Pearlman or Cantor Clissold at 732-747-9365.
