Summer Study Group with Rabbi Pearlman Tuesdays, July 13th, 20th, 27th and August 3rd at 9:30am Mistakes Were Made - But Not By Me!
Our tradition teaches that God loves broken vessels. A lucky thing, because none of us is perfect. Luckily we have an entire holiday season in front of us during which we are enjoined to examine our deeds and acts and move towards living a better life. The High Holidays are early this year. Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur fall just after Labor Day. The first of Elul, the month in which we are supposed to be preparing our hearts and minds for the important work of the Days of Awe falls on August 11th this year. Join Rabbi Pearlman for a summer exploration of the themes, liturgy, and sacred texts of the High Holy Days. This is a great way to meet our new rabbi, and start building new relationships through the sharing of personal story, meaningful texts, and conversation. Don't miss this opportunity to greet the holidays with a new understanding of some of our core rituals, and a chance to reflect upon your own inner self.
