2011-2012 was a wonderfully successful year for MRT Sisterhood.   We built new relationships, planned and enjoyed fundraising events, and provided opportunities for our children to create and come together in a fulfilling Jewish community.  As a Sisterhood, we strive to bring together all facets of our diverse congregation and to find common ground amongst us.

In the coming year, Sisterhood is broadening our reach by welcoming four new board members: Karen Kahn, Lynn Shapiro, Jill Austin, and Cheryl Gaudette.  All of these women have been active members of sisterhood and each brings dynamic interests and talents to our board.

We are very excited about our groundbreaking Fundraiser “Temple Tables”.  The proceeds from these Small Social gatherings will support the fundraising for a long dreamed-of Kitchen Renovation.  “Temple Tables” are graciously hosted by our own congregants. Each host creates an event reflective of their own interests and passions.  Already on the calendar are Knitting and Knosh with Myra and Addie, Perfect Passover Pastry with Linda and Maxine, and Belly Dancing with Monica.   You too can join in the fun…. Wine and Cheese Tasting, Game Night, Mahjohgg Mavens, Steel Drums and Rum.  What will you host? Thanks again to Barbara Gitlin for bringing this idea to Sisterhood.

Through Sisterhood dues and program participation we provide opportunities for our temple family to deepen their connections to one another and Judaism as a whole.
We are a group of women of all ages, backgrounds, family structures, and interests in all stages of life who have found community.   We welcome every woman and encourage you to please join sisterhood and add your voice.
